CAMP GENESIS consists of a variety of day camps conducted during the summer months by Our Savior School. These camps focus on a single subject which help children to develop skills in that area.

101 — FISHING CAMP June 12 – 14 / 9:00 – 11:00 am

We hope you catch the “big one” in this three-day camp! Day one and day two we will be going to a lake to fish on the shore or off a dock. Day three, we will be spending the day out on a pontoon on Lake Minnetonka. Life jackets will be provided. Please bring a pole; we will provide the bait.

Cost: $75 Non-Extended Care students — $35 for Extended Care students

102 — GOLF CAMP June 13 – 15 / 9:30 am – 3:30 pm

An avid golfer and experienced coach will instruct students of varied skill levels. The areas of golf that will be covered will include driving, chipping, iron play and putting. This is an all day camp that will focus on the fundamentals of the game. We will spend the first day on the range learning and practicing the skills of the game. The second and third day we will be on the range in the morning and playing 9 holes of golf in the afternoon. Price includes both the cost of practice and the round of golf. Please have a set of clubs and pack a lunch for each day.

Cost: $95 Non-Extended Care students — $55 for Extended Care students

103 — FOOTGOLF June 19 – 21 / 11:30 am – 3:00 pm

FootGolf is much as it sounds, a sport where participants use a soccer ball instead of a golf club and ball. Players “tee” off by kicking the ball from in between the tee markers toward the hole. This new take on a traditional game is growing very quickly, bringing two very different sports together. Come, try something new and bring a friend!

Cost: $95 Non-Extended Care students — $45 for Extended Care students

104 — HERE’S TO YOU! June 26 – June 29 / 9:30am – 3:00 pm

The fundamental goal of this program is to help girls recognize their innate potential through a variety of fun, physical, and social activities. It is well known that girls experience a boost in their self-confidence from learning a new skill or achieving a set goal. Under God’s direction – Here’s to You! – is designed to offer girls a variety of activities that will increase self-confidence and guide them towards becoming their best. In addition, each daily activity will help foster skills needed for successful living such as teamwork, trust, and positive communication skills. We will be hosting girls entering grades 4-9 for four days.  The camp activities will include, serving others, meeting with women who started local small businesses, bowling, dance, Pilates, and rock climbing.

Cost: $165 Non-Extended Care students — $85 for Extended Care students

105 — FUNTASTIC July 10 – 13 / 1:00 – 3:00 pm

During this four-day camp, our staff will guide the children through a variety of different activities including arts and crafts, cooking, a trip to the Big Thrill Factory, Playground touring.  On the last day, we will have large inflatable bouncy houses for the children to play in.  This camp is going to be Funtastic.

Cost: $80 Non-Extended Care students — $40 for Extended Care students

Age requirements: Entering grade Pre K (age 4) – 2

106 — ROCKET CAMP July 17 – 20 / 9:00 – 11:30 am

This camp will be devoted to exploring rockets. You will build and launch at least two rockets during this four-day camp. One rocket will fly over 1000 feet into the air. Let your inventive character shine. All rockets will be launched on Thursday. Parents are welcome to watch the launches.

Cost: $100 Non-Extended Care students — $60 for Extended Care students

107 — COOKING CAMP CHOPPED EDITION July 17 – 20 / 1:00 – 3:30 pm

This four-day camp will give your child confidence in the kitchen.  Monday and Tuesday the students will learn to cook many different items, new skills and experience different flavors. On Wednesday, the teams will decide what they will cook for the “Chopped” competition.  Thursday the teams will be cooking for the judges.  Will your team win?

Cost: $80 Non-Extended Care students — $40 for Extended Care students

108 — WATERPARK MADNESS July 24 – 27 / 9:30 am – 4:00 pm

Do you like water slides, wave pools and lazy rivers? If you answered YES! Then this camp is for you. Four days at four different waterparks. We will start at Cascade Waterpark, Followed by Edina Aquatic Center, Bunker Hills Waterpark, and finally Soak City at Valleyfair. Please bring a disposable lunch or money to purchase a lunch at the waterparks. Price includes all admissions and transportation.

Cost: $155 Non-Extended Care students — $75 for Extended Care students

109 — 4-9TH GRADE FIELD TRIP ERUPTION July 31 – August 3 / 9:00 am – 4:00 pm

In this action packed week, we will have as much fun as possible in four days. Monday, we will be going to MN Pro Paintball. Tuesday we will spend the day Go Karting. Wednesday we head to Grand slam in Burnsville. Finally, on Thursday we will go to Valleyfair. We will be returning to school at 5:00 pm on Thursday. Price includes all admissions and transportation. You may purchase lunch at Grand Slam and Valleyfair please make sure to pack a lunch for the other trips. Date of activities subject to change.

Cost: $210 Non-Extended Care students — $120 for Extended Care students

110 — EV3 LEGO CAMP Aug 7–10 / 8:30 am – 12:30 pm

All new for summer ‘17! Build a robot to deliver animals to safety, put cows out to pasture, reunite separated panda bears and more. In this our first year’s we will be working with Youth Enrichment League (YEL). Our focus is on the FIRST LEGO League’s Animal Allies challenge. Students will design, build, program, test and modify multiple robots using the Mindstorms EV3 robotics system. Then use their team’s robot (usually teams of three) to complete various challenges related to our animal friends. Our summer camp is designed to prepare students for participation in the FIRST® LEGO League annual robotics competition. Put an end to summer brain drain. 111 — ARCHERY CAMP Aug 7 – 10 / 1:00 – 2:30 pm

We offer this camp in partnership with Cabin Fever Sporting Goods in Victoria. This four-day camp is for beginners or someone who wants to fine-tune their archery skills. During the camp, archers will become proficient in shooting; they will also learn range safety.

Cost: $50 Non-Extended Care students — $0 for Extended Care students

112 — 1 – 4TH GRADE FIELD TRIP ERUPTION Aug 14 – 17 / 9:30 am – 3:30 pm

This camp will give you all the best field trips in just four days. Monday we will go to Grand Slam in Burnsville. Tuesday we will head to Nickelodeon Universe. Wednesday we will be at Cascade Bay Water Park in Eagan.  Thursday includes a trip to Big Thrill Factory and an afternoon at Lake Minnewastha splashing in the lake. You can purchase lunch at each location or pack a lunch.

Cost: $170 Non-Extended Care students — $90 for Extended Care students
