CAMP GENESIS consists of a variety of day camps conducted during the summer months by Our Savior School. These camps focus on a single subject which help children to develop skills in that area.

101 — GOLF CAMP June 14 – 16 / 9:30 am – 3:30 pm

An avid golfer and experienced coach will instruct students from varied skill levels. The areas of golf that will be covered will include driving, chipping, iron play and putting. This is an all day camp that will focus on the fundamentals of the game. We will spend the first day on the range learning the game and practicing the skills. The second and third day we will be on the range in the morning and playing 9 holes of golf in the afternoon. Price includes both the cost of practice and the round of golf. Please have a set of clubs and pack a lunch for each day.

Cost: $95 Non-Extended Care students — $55 for Extended Care students

102 — FISHING CAMP June 20 – 22 / 9:30 – 11:30 am

We hope you catch the “big one” in this three day camp! Day one and day two we will be going to a lake to fish on the shore or off a dock. Day three, we will spend the day out on a pontoon on Lake Minnetonka. Life jackets will be provided. Please bring a pole; we will provide the bait.

Cost: $65 Non-Extended Care students — $35 for Extended Care students

103 — TENNIS CAMP June 21 – 23 / 1:00 – 3:30 pm

In this three day camp experienced coaches will focus on the fundamentals of the game. They will be working on serving, returning a serve, and learning how to play a competitive game. All you need is a racket and shoes.

Cost: $65 Non-Extended Care students — $35 for Extended Care students

104 — HERE’S TO YOU! June 27 – June 30 / 9:30 – 3:00 pm

The fundamental goal of this program is to help girls recognize their innate potential through a variety of fun, physical, and social activities. It is well known that girls experience a boost in their self-confidence from learning a new skill or achieving a set goal. Under God’s direction – Here’s to You! – is designed to offer girls a variety of activities that will increase self-confidence and guide them towards becoming their best. In addition, each daily activity will help foster skills needed for successful living such as teamwork, trust, and positive communication skills. We will be hosting girls entering grades 3-9 for four days. We will be dividing the girls into two groups: 3rd – 6th grade and 7th – 9th grade. The camp activities will include, serving others at Feed My Starving Children, bowling, dance, Pilates, rock climbing, plus additional activities.

Cost: $100 Non-Extended Care students — $65 for Extended Care students

105 — FUNTASTIC July 5 – 7 / 9:00 – 11:00 am

During this three-day camp, our staff will guide the children through a variety of different activities including arts and crafts, gymnasium bowling, other group gym games, and time on Google Chromebooks. On the last day, we will have two large inflatable bouncy houses for the children to play in. This camp is going to be Funtastic!

Cost: $60 Non-Extended Care students — $35 for Extended Care students

Age requirements: Entering grade Pre K (age 4) – 2

106 — ROCKET CAMP July 11 – 14 / 1:00 – 3:00 pm

This camp will be devoted to exploring rockets. You will build and launch at least three rockets during this four-day camp. One rocket will fly over 1000 feet into the air. Let your inventive character shine. All rockets will be launched on Thursday. Parents are welcome to watch the launches.

Cost: $40 Non-Extended Care students — $20 for Extended Care students

107 — 1–4TH GRADE FIELD TRIP ERUPTION July 18 – 21 / 9:30 am – 3:00 pm

This camp will give you all the best field trips in just four days. Monday we will go to Grand Slam in Burnsville. Tuesday we will head to Nickelodeon Universe. Wednesday includes a trip to Como Zoo to visit the animals, and enjoy the amusement park. Finally, on Thursday we will be at Waterpark of America. You can purchase lunch at each location or pack a lunch for each day.

Cost: $120 Non-Extended Care students — $80 for Extended Care students

Age requirements: Entering grade 1– 4

108 — 4–9TH GRADE FIELD TRIP ERUPTION July 25 – 28 / 9:00 am – 4:00 pm

In this action packed week, we will have as much fun as possible in four days. Monday, we will be going to MN Pro Paintball. Tuesday we head to Grand slam in Burnsville. Wednesday, we will spend the day Go Karting. Finally, on Thursday we will go to Waterpark of America. Price includes all admissions and transportation. You can purchase lunch at each location or pack a lunch for each day. Date of activities subject to change.

Cost: $160 Non-Extended Care students — $125 for Extended Care students

Age requirements: Entering grade 4 – 9

109 — ARCHERY CAMP Aug 1 – 4 / 9:00 am – 11:30 pm

We offer this camp in partnership with Cabin Fever Sporting Goods in Victoria. This fourday camp is for beginners or someone who wants to fine-tune their archery skills. During the camp, archers will become proficient in shooting; they will also learn range safety.

Cost: $50 Non-Extended Care students — $15 for Extended Care students

Age requirements: Entering grade 4 – 9

110 — COOKING CAMP Aug 1–4 / 1:00 – 3:30 pm

This four-day camp will give your child confidence in the kitchen. Learn to cook fun foods and enjoy eating your creations. Each day you will experience a new skill and flavor. You will be able to take a sampling of some of the recipes home to share with your family.

Cost: $70 Non-Extended Care students — $40 for Extended Care students

111 — JR. CODERS CAMP Aug 8 – 10 / 9:00 – 11:00 am

Junior Coders program is a child’s first step toward the many other STEAM offerings. This three-day camp is geared for the younger learner; Junior Coders will learn the basic principles of computer programming through drag and drop interfaces. Students will each have their own computer in an air-conditioned facility while learning to use software like Scratch or Tynker, GameMaker Studio, and other fun and creative titles that make learning computer programming fun.

Cost: $60 Non-Extended Care students — $30 for Extended Care students

Age requirements: Entering grade 2 – 5

112 — FORENSIC CAMP Aug 8 – 11 / 1:00 – 3:30 pm

Forensic Science is as popular as ever! More and more students are becoming exposed to crime solving techniques by watching TV crime shows such as CSI. In this new STEAM camp, Forensics, students will learn the science behind crime fighting and will apply critical thinking skills to solve the unsolved mysteries. The program will consist of handson laboratory investigations and will conclude with a mystery to process.

Cost: $90 Non-Extended Care students — $50 for Extended Care students

Age requirements: Entering grade 6 – 10

113 — FUN WITH FOOD Aug 16 – 18 / 9:00 – 11:00 am

Create a variety of foods while learning basic cooking skills. Learn to make fun foods and enjoy eating them too. No sharp knife cutting or stove-top cooking will be involved. You will be able to take a sampling of some of the treats home to share with your family.
